Seminary Update: Happy, Healthy and Procrastinating

I am currently procrastinating writing a 10-page paper that is due on Monday that I will begin writing once I update y'all on my life (this will be a quick update).

Short version:

Things are great.

Long Version:

Things are great. Wake Forest and Southeastern are beginning to feel like home. I have a standing after-chapel lunch time with my friends which is a great way to guarantee seeing them. The Lord finally granted me a home at Imago Dei Church, and a small group to boot! (I seriously love my small group, by the way).

I went through membership class last weekend and just emailed in my information yesterday. Hopefully, I'll be a member here in the next few weeks, covenanting with my brothers and sisters at Imago Dei to be commissioned to be a minister and Gospel witness to the city of Raleigh.

The Lord has been kind and gracious to me and I've grown in my desire to know Him and pursue Him more since moving here. I know that there is much growth and struggle and learning that is yet to take place, but I press on with excitement and momentum!

Something you can be praying about for me and with me: I have an opportunity to go on a missions trip with the school to South Asia this summer. If I go, I'll be able to work in a region of the world that I think I want to spend most of my life, working with a people group that I have a heart for. In order to go, I have to have a $300 deposit in, ASAP. The only problem is that the $300 has to come from me (and I don't have a job--only school) and is not tax-deductible.  Please pray that I would be able to raise that money in order to secure my spot. If you're interested in partnering with me to raise the $300 deposit or the $3000 for the rest of the trip, please message, call or text me!

"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places, even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love he predestined us for adoption as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will, to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.

In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace, which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth.

In him we have obtained an inheritance, having been predestined according to the purpose of him who works all things according to the counsel of his will, so that we who were the first to hope in Christ might be to the praise of his glory. In him you also, when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and believed in him, were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory."

-Ephesians 1:3-14
