God has been faithful to me. I mean, I wouldn't expect anything else in a perfect world, but sometimes you wonder. He has been faithful to care for me. He has been faithful to make my life meaningful.
I didn't think that by starting this blog that it would mean anything, but it has. It's meant a lot. Some friends of my mine have shared with a thankfulness for these posts and stated that they look up to me.
They don't look up to me, but God is faithful. They look up to the Spirit. The Spirit has changed me and created a loving spirit within me.
God has been faithful to love me, and to share love through me, even when I don't feel like I'm very loving. God is cleaning up my spirit because I am a gross, disgusting sinner. Because I really suck at life. God has been faithful to reveal his plans to me. God has cared for me continually.
I think it's really important for us to see that he cares for us. I think its important to stop and reflect. God has brought us on a journey and if we only focus on what lies ahead, we may forget what the Lord has done before.
God has blessed work that we felt was fruitless. That alone is reason for endless praise.
So today, at the end of a school year, I'm praising God for his faithfulness to me. I'm asking for forgiveness for my sinful, ways. For the ways I've squandered his riches and been a most wretched wretch. And praising him again for his faithfulness to spread his good news even through my sinful lips.
Some pieces of the word to further my point.
"We loved you so much that we shared with you not only God’s Good News but our own lives, too." 1 Thessalonians 2:8
" But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work. " 2 Timothy 3:14-17
"But thank God! He has made us his captives and continues to lead us along in Christ’s triumphal procession. Now he uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume. Our lives are a Christ-like fragrance rising up to God. But this fragrance is perceived differently by those who are being saved and by those who are perishing. To those who are perishing, we are a dreadful smell of death and doom. But to those who are being saved, we are a life-giving perfume. And who is adequate for such a task as this?" 2 Corinthians 2: 14-16
